Screening series Prospective Perspectives: In a post-utopian as well as posthuman age, positive future concepts - such as those that had still decisively determined the art of the 1960s and 1970s - seem like anachronistic relics of a different era. Future optimism seems to be trapped between an attack from the right as naïve good humankind or a leftist dismissal as a systematic blinding strategy. The series focuses, in feature films and short films or with video and performance, on future concepts beyond apocalyptic catastrophes or technical utopias that develop positive action patterns of social and economic coexistence. In critical conversations, the series questions the current political and theoretical potential.
